loving holidays!
hey all!
it's been loooong since pw ended xD and everyone's busy with their personal stuff cca happy packages wadever -.- that's why i haven't dropped by for ages! i bet alot of y'all don't, too. :p
anyways.... hope that everyone's enjoying the holidays! somehow i feel that this period of time is SUPER slack -.- cos i have the luxury of time to watch tv EVERYDAY. haha. life is so carefree x)
really free nowadays... except for regular trainings and work o.O yep. enjoying every part of holidays. and i juz saw the get-away-to-msia-for-a-while thing! kind of looking forward to it cos it's like a break off the usual mundane routine for something new and fresh! maybe we will plae the whole day away, or maybe we will permashop at malls -.^
haha i juz saw the seniors' class video montage! it's super cool especially the stagecraft and stuff. very convincing. lol. the girls are all calafe! haha xD nice~ i think our senior class is somewhat... interesting? intriguing? playful? cheerful? cool? nah. o.O a little bit of all these =D really enjoyed times with them. (fine. some of them.) next year class birthday can reunite! wonder wad our junior class will be like hmm...
oh yea i watched the flashmobs! it's cool in a weird sense. uhm... something of its own league. sure attracted curious passers-by watching! they were like "who are these funny ppl" and "these ppl froze there i can't get my cart through". lol. epic. "oh nvm they moved" =D
finding more stuff to do in the holidays... so if ppl are nt too busy we could go plae someday! haha. everyday!

hmm i've been getting many new tracks on my fone this week. may load some into the juke so everyone can have something new to listen to!!!! good music muz be shared xD MUZZZZ
can't believe i'm still awake. oh well, it's the holidays so can slp late wake up late. yay. :D i wanna serenade myself to slp with some music. oh yea. the wind these days are awesome. like an aircon, but BETTER, cos it's totally fresh air ^^ loving it.
okae shall sign off alrdy cos it's getting late -.- (or early? o.O) we can plan to engage in some class activities soon. maybe something really cool and awesome and fun. karaoke? hmm.. here's a wild idea... hw bout... i donoe... like... AUDITION... or some.. other stuff... i donoe... *cough* audition

holidays rust your brain. it's proven.
so to help those gears in that head of yours moving (provided you do have a brain), here's a tutorial on how to play spades. contrary to popular belief, it's not just hearts replaced by spades. no. and yes. it's a card game. what else can it be.

this is how spades looks like
#1 if you don't know bridge, go away. if you say 'but i know daidi!', you deserve a pat on your back. now go away.
#2 spades is always played like a spades trump game in bridge. don't understand? refer to #1
#3 the 'bidding' part in spades is just simply stating the number of sets you think you can win (e.g. 3 sets, 5 sets, 0 sets)
#4 your partner is always the person sitting opposite you.
#5 similar to that in bridge, you and your partner aim to win the exact amount of sets that you both have stated (e.g. if your partner says 3 and you say 4, you have to win a combined total of 7 sets, which means you can get 2 sets while your partner gets 5 and you still 'win', capice?)
#6 if you do manage to do the above, you gain 10*(number of sets) worth of points (e.g. 3 sets = 30 points)
#7 if you go 'under', which is to say you won less sets than both of you bidded for, you lose 10*(number of sets you bidded for) worth of points (e.g. you both have to win 7 sets but only managed 6 or less, so you get -70 points)
#8 if you go 'over', you gain 1 point for every set you go 'over', and these are called bags (e.g. bid 7 sets win 9 sets get 72 points)
#9 usually, when you get 10 bags, you get a -100 points penalty
#10 to win, you and your partner has to reach the pre-set point limit (500 points for most games)

Watched it while the photos loaded. I think the -coughcrazyidiotcough- leaping like some -cough- ballerina at the start is Yip Yang but i'm not very sure.
Anyway I'm just beginning to sort through the photos of the class (3051 ++ of them) and these are just the more recent ones. Somewhere in the deep dark depths of my hard disk I have unglam shots of you guys so watch out for more EXCITING updates. xD.
P.S. I know some of you rather i put the photos up on facebook. But i am a stauch believer in the evilness of facebook so we'll see.

trip to malaysia - tentative!

i'll be heading back to PJ, malaysia (that's like, outskirts of KL) for a couple of days during the holidays. tentative dates are: 4th dec to 7th dec (fri to mon)
who wants to follow me back? transport will be either my dad fetching or bus (bus fare is quite.. ex) or maybe airasia (depends on availability of tickets) SO you guys need to confirm whether you're going or not. fast.
what will we be doing there? uh, not much, it's more of a get-to-know-my-home-country kinda thing. no tour buses or anything. though i have friends who have cars, they can drive us around if you want.
just reply in the cbox if you can make it. if you need to shift the dates abit (like maybe only can leave on 5th) just tell me thru the cbox yup.

whoo! it came out yest with 13 of us catching it:D
it was great! me and joanne thinks it’s the best movie this yr!
I urge everyone to go watch it!
it was really intense. two and a half hrs of heart-in-mouth action (ws was open-mouthed haha:D). watching the world crumble. watching ppl crumble. land masses with SHM.
I have read about apocalypse before (and just learnt how to pronounce it) but never did it seem so real till now. The portrayal was epic and it gave a whole new meaning and insight to how the world would end.
it really left an impression on me. it’s show like this tt makes one ponder. reflect on 人生短暂. and want to live life differently. like to rethink one’s priorities. find the true meaning to life.
LIFE. one word that means so much.
in the light of apocalypse (i doubt if this is the right usage but it’s a cool word:P), everything else seems to dim in importance. seems so trivial.
at the end of the day, what is race and nationality when everyone is united under the brotherhood of mankind. what is politics when a young scientist is worth more than twenty old politicians. what is possessions when it’ll be pulverized to nothing. what is wealth when economic systems break down.
money doesnt matter anymore when it’s the end of the world (unless of course you wanna get a green ticket lol). what is new clothes (lol the wait before the show:P). what is ‘A’ levels. what is technology when everything breaks down with the reversal of poles and reduction in magnetic field (voice-recognition technology might be an exception:P). what is data stored on the net and in soft copy when the whole web disappears.
everything is reduced to naught.
but hope still shines amidst the darkness. faith. love. relationships suddenly seem more precious. “it is when we stop fighting for each other that we lose our humanity”
kkk was really dazed aft comin out of gvmax. my heart needs time to settle down lol. and once again i feel the prospect of living on a mountain very appealing:). the slow pace of life (nimu: eat first._.). free from modern-day complications (need to empty ur cup?).
really enjoyed the company yest! a pity the sleep grp couldn’t join us:(

Inter CT Games
Hi all
Hope you have fun during the fac event last night (:
By the way, the inter CT games will reach its finals this coming Tuesday (3/11/09).
Our class has managed to enter the finals for Volleyball (mixed) and Street Soccer (Boys). After a valiant struggle, the basketball (boys) has finished second in prelim and thus failed to enter the finals although they were never beaten even once. Great effort nonetheless.
All inter CT participants please get ready in respective venues by 4pm on Tuesday in PE attire.
